Cycling on Minorca – Idyllic Landscapes:

The island is a paradise for cyclists. Both in the north and the south, there are numerous routes ideal for relaxed bike tours or challenging mountain bike trails. Bicycles and mountain bikes can be rented in many places on the island.

Hiking – Nature Up Close:

Minorca is crisscrossed by a network of historic paths that date back to Roman times. These routes lead through untouched gorges, past impressive cliffs, and to hidden coves.

Particularly from November to March, when fewer tourists are on the island, you can enjoy nature in complete tranquility. In higher altitudes of the Tramuntana mountains, windproof clothing is recommended, as the flat landscape offers little protection from the winds.

Water Sports – Diving, Sailing & More:

Minorca’s coasts are among the most beautiful diving areas in the Mediterranean. Crystal-clear water reveals a fascinating underwater world with colorful corals, exotic fish species, and ancient shipwrecks. Around 20 diving schools offer introductory courses, diving training, and equipment rental. In addition to diving, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, jet skiing, water skiing, and paragliding are popular water sports.

At many beaches, pedal boats, kayaks, and small motorboats can be rented without a boating license. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, spending time at one of the many enchanting bathing beaches and enjoying the wonderfully clear, turquoise sea is ideal. Many bathing bays also offer an unexpected underwater world that can be explored simply with a diving mask and snorkel.

Horseback Riding – Across the Iland:

More than a dozen riding schools offer lessons and guided rides. Particularly appealing are tours through the island’s interior or along the coastal paths. In Cala en Bosc and Sant Tomás, there are stables as well as a pony club for children. Information on providers is available at the tourist information offices in Ciutadella and Mahón.

Golf – Tee Off with Sea View:

Minorca’s only 18-hole golf course is located in the north of the island and is open year-round. The well-maintained facility blends harmoniously into nature and offers, in addition to golf courses, tennis courts, a clubhouse, and a restaurant.

GoKart – Adrenaline on the Racetrack:

For motorsport fans, there are several go-kart tracks where speed and driving fun are the focus. Among the most popular kart tracks are:
– Karting Rock (Cala en Bosc, Ciutadella) – Perfect asphalt track for fast races.
– Karting Costa Nova (on the Maó-Ciutadella road, near Ferreríes) – A challenging, slightly worn track for adventurers.
– Kart track at the Aeroclub (Mahón, Ctra. Sant Lluís, km 3) – A smaller track with good infrastructure.

Whether on land, on water, or in the air – Minorca offers numerous opportunities to actively experience the island and fully enjoy the Mediterranean nature.
